DELIVERY

Delivery

Everything we make is built to order in our Kent workshop and then delivered to you. Delivery is included in the price for the UK mainland, and we deliver everywhere else too.

What “delivery included” covers

The price you see is the price you pay. It includes VAT and it includes delivery to the UK mainland, so there is no delivery charge added at checkout and nothing added at the end.

We deliver everywhere else as well. The Scottish Highlands, the Scottish islands, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Isle of Wight, the Channel Islands and addresses outside the UK are all fine. Delivery there is simply not covered by the price, so we quote it separately.

Get in touch before you order and we will work it out. Call 01233 822 457 or email hello@granddadrobdesigns.co.uk with what you are after and where it is going.

How long it takes

Nothing here sits on a shelf. We start building your piece once you have ordered.

Most orders take around 5 to 6 weeks, depending on the piece and how busy the workshop is. We will confirm yours when we take your order.

We will not leave you guessing, and we would rather tell you a real date than a hopeful one.

How it arrives

Delivery is kerbside, by courier. Your piece arrives at the nearest point the lorry can reach, and moving it from there is down to you.

That matters more than it sounds. These are large, heavy, handmade things. Before you order, have a think about how you would get yours from the kerb to where it is going, and whether you will need someone to help on the day.

If access is awkward, a narrow side gate, a long carry, a steep drive or soft ground, tell us when we confirm your order and we will talk it through.

Built or flat packed

Tortoise tables and stands, the Haydock chicken coops and the Brighton ark arrive fully built and ready to use.

The Tortoise Cabins are the exception. They come flat packed, which is what keeps their price down.

If you are buying something else and it matters to you, ask us before you order and we will tell you exactly how it will turn up.

If something arrives damaged

Tell us as soon as you notice, and send us a photograph if you can. It helps us work out what happened and get it put right quickly.

Damage in transit is our problem to solve, not yours. Depending on what has happened we will send replacement parts, repair it, or take the whole thing back and replace it.
